Time for Kids
Today we read informational text in Time for Kids. We learned about a new Guinness World Record giant pumpkin grown in Rhode Island, weighing in at 2,000 pounds! We also learned that another name for pumpikin is gourd. Ask your child about the Shoe Crew, a team of California teens that have collected almost 3,000 pairs of shoes to donate to people in need of shoes. Please visit www.timeforkids.com/shoecrew to view a video from the Shoe Crew. How do YOU help others?

Weldon Springs
We had an amazing day visiting Weldon Springs. We learned about the history and participated in many cool investigations, learning more about solids, liquids, and gases. Ask your child what happens when you experiment with vinegar, baking soda and balloons. A BIG thank you to our wonderful volunteers. Please email any photos that we can share with our third grade families. Thank YOU!
